About Romney House
Romney House was converted into a care home 1986 and has been family run by ever since and we are pleased to say the care home remains family run into 3rd generation of the family.
The care home’s Directors have active day to day involvement in the running of the home and work closely along side the registered manager, Nicky Fairclough, who has been at Romney House for over 20 years.
Romney House is a 20 bed care home with a very warm and homely feel and thanks to its size, residents benefit from a very close relationship with our staff and other residents alike.
We provide 24 hour care for elderly people from the age of 65. Our residents actively participate in the planning and reviewing of their individual care needs and we have an excellent and reliable working relationship with outside care professionals including district and nurse practitioners.
All our staff are fully trained in all aspects of caring and regularly take up refresher courses to ensure their levels of care are always exceptional.
Our care staff are highly experienced and motivated thanks to our diligence and attention to training with the utmost care taken in recruitment, retention and the further development of our personnel.
At Romney House, we have a busy calendar of events and in house activities. We hold our annual Summer Garden party every July which is always a big success with all resident families and friends encouraged to attend and so along with our Christmas party and regular weekly activities and outings, there is always plenty to look forward to.
In addition to the home, we are very proud of our fully landscaped half acre garden which residents are free to enjoy and to even get involved with some planting for their own pleasure.
